Exotic Birds
Pine Island is home to many different species of birds including Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Brown Pelicans, Ibis and Spoonbills. Wood Storks and other exotic flyers pass through on their migrations.

Birds of Prey
Birds of prey live and breed on the island. Ospreys can often be seen catching and eating fish in the area. Several breeding pairs of Bald Eagles nest on the island and can be seen year round.

Manatees
Manatee are frequent visitors in our canals. They make appearances throughout the year and can often been seen in groups including mothers and their pups.
